MISSION STATEMENT
Building a Thriving Liberian Community in Canada
The Association of Liberian in Toronto & Surroundings empowers Liberians and people of Liberian descent residing in Toronto and surrounding areas to build fulfilling lives in Canada. We achieve this by:
1 Facilitating Newcomer Integration
We provide newcomers with the resources and support they need to settle successfully in Canada, fostering a strong and vibrant Liberian diaspora community.
2 Empowering Youth
We invest in the future of our community by providing Liberian youth with educational support, leadership development opportunities, and cultural enrichment programs.
3 Promoting Well-being
We offer culturally sensitive outreach programs to support Liberian seniors, refugees, and those experiencing illness, ensuring their well-being and active participation in community life.
4 Fostering Collaboration
We champion cooperation between the Liberian community and broader Canadian society, promoting cultural exchange and active engagement in community-building initiatives.
5 Building Bridges
We provide opportunities for individuals and groups to volunteer their skills and time, strengthening social bonds within the Liberian community and fostering a culture of giving back.
6 Promoting Unity and Advocacy
We advocate for the needs of the Liberian community while promoting the positive image and shared values of Canada and Liberia.
